Engravings by John Lawrence. 1997 re-issue by Long Barn Books, a beautifully illustrated and printed copy housed within a slipcase. Size octavo, 9" tall, 198 pages. Orange cloth covered boards with gilt vignette of a tree on the front cover and gilt titles to the spine, paste-downs and first end-papers are printed with a repeat pattern of a tree, four different vignettes, on for each season, 2 further end-papers in dark brown, title page printed within a beautiful lino-cut border. Housed within a brown stiff card slipcase, slipcase is very slightly rubbed at the extremities with a slightly faded spine section. Condition near fine, a beautiful clean copy.
