A volume in The Collector's Series in Science, includes engr. t.p. of Gilbert's 2d Latin ed., 1628. Reproduction of the Burndy Library copy of Silvanus P. Thompson's translation, imprinted in London in 1900 at the Chiswick Press, with inclusion of his Notes on the De magnete of Dr. William Gilbert, privately printed in London in 1901. Includes bibliographies.
