Signed and inscribed, "For Betty - May Sarton" on the half-title page. A good only copy in matching jacket. Wear at the edges and rounding at the spine ends. Previous owner's bookplate to the front fly. Text block is cocked forward. Binding is solid and pages are clean and unmarked. Unclipped jacket is also good only with an open tear (about 1.5 inches) at the bottom of the rear panel. General wear to the edges of the jacket panels and some soiling to the rear panel. 384 pp., Sarton's novel of the lifelong friendship between two women.
