London: Sampson Low Marston Searle & Rivington, 1881. 379 pages. Gilt titles. Floral endpapers. Green cloth with leather spine. Frontispiece "Valley of the Funf-seen". Smattering of illustrations. Usual library envelope, check out slip, stamps and other markings. Water stained upper right corner of last 179 pages (gradually decreasing toward interior). Also some water stain at upper margin in early pages. Loss of ¼" at spine ends. Minor smudges and stains with a few dog-eared pages and some pencil marginalia. Slightly cocked. Bumped corners and small chip in lower edge of front cover. Appears to be an older library binding as a rear endpaper is missing.. First Edition. Quarter Leather. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
