Sobre este artículo

London: Putnam, 1956. Reprint of the 1955 Second Impression. Make A Signal! by Captain Jack Broome D.S.C. R.N and illustrated by the author. A collection of signals, famous and infamous, made in, to, or about the Royal Navy. This is the Navy talking by flags, lamps, and radio; the RN's private and intimate diary of messages. An exciting mixture of British history and anecdotage. Frontispiece b/w photo titled: Signals received by H.M.S. Colossus during the Battle of Jutland in W.W.I. The contents offer Chapter (1) From Age To Age, (2) Special Flags and Customs, (3) Navy History by Signal. A few examples of this: The Battle of Copenhagen, Nelson's Signal at Trafalgar, Posthumous V.C., Russian Convoy, etc. Lastly (4) Scrap Log - Declaring Wars, etc. Very interesting messages to and from the Bismark. The Scrap Log is made up of unusual messages both tragical and comical. Name to ffep. a clean bright book. A very good read!. Hard Cover. Very Good/Fair.
