Lettering on spine is in (both) gilt for the title and black for author. Front board has green and gilt embossed picture of a knight with sword on horse approaching a castle. Beautiful copy of a classic novel. Copy has prior owner's name (B S Nogle) stamped in very small letters on several pages, including front flyleaf, list of illustrations page and inside of back board. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. "A historical novel of Renaissance Italy." Has 351 pages plus 8 pages of ads of other books published by L. C. Page at that time. : B&W Illustrations .
