Mexico: Edicion Era, 1968. Third Edition. Hardcover (Half Leather). Very Good Condition. Bound in half leather over red coated cloth, Some underlining at the beginning and end. Previous owner's signature to endpaper, half title and title and signed and inscribed by Marquez and dated 1973 on the front endpaper. The third Mexican edition, first published in 1966 (The book first published in 1962 and based on a short story written while Marquez was living in Paris called Este pueblo de mierda. Marquez distanced himself from this original edition and issued the 1966 with changes declaring it the first edition - see note on copyright page ). Written just prior to One Hundred Years of Solitude and where some of the characters reappeared. Bound afterwards, also with previous owner signatures and a few underlinings, is a fifth printing of El COlonel No Tiene Quien le Escriba, 1968. Size: Octavo (8vo). Quantity Available: 1.
