Original price of $4.50 is still present on front flap. DJ shows scuffing and toning along with edge and corner chips/small tears. Decorative boards underneath are clean with only minor edge bumping. The internal binding is good in text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The only evidence of handwriting found in the book is in the upper corner of the front end page where there is very faint indentations from where a price was once penciled. Paper is toned due to age with some minor foxing present to the end pages and pastedowns.

Fraying at its head. The front panel has a tear and creasing at its lower edge. Short edge tears to the panels. Dusting to the rear panel. Signed by Holdredge o n the title page. There is an inked inscription on the front fly that reads "To Betty/From Mamnie/Christmas 1954". .
