Sobre este artículo

London: Chapman & Hall, 1907. Cloth. Very Good. 9" by 6". Charles G. Harper. A two volume set of travel works by Charles G. Harper, including a letter written by Charles G. Harper. In two volumes, uniformly bound in a full cloth binding. First edition. This particular set features a letter from the author loosely inserted into volume I. The letter reads as follows: 'Dear Simpson, Too busy to go any-where. Up all night to try and get ahead of it. What about the ... as to the Epitaph at over Wallop. I sent you together with the copy of this epitaph (the only one I've got) on July 1st of 2nd? Did it ... you? I have been expecting to hear from you about it even since then. Sincerely yours Charles G Harper.' A lovely example of this work of travel writing from the early 20th century, in which the author Charles G. Harper documents the journey from London to Manchester to Glasgow. Illustrated with 32 full page plates across the two volumes. Collated complete. In the publisher's original uniform cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine with patches of rubbing to the extremities. Internally generally firmly bound. Page are bright and generally clean with the occasional spot. Very Good
