Sobre este artículo

New York: Pocket Books (Giant Cardinal Edition/Stated 1st Printing, 50 cents, April 1962). Mass market paperback 127 pages. Pages lightly toned; clean and unmarked. Binding square and tight. Minor wear at foot of spine; colors bright.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Somewhere on the vast and unknown seas was the most fabulous treasure ship ever to set sail - the Manila Galleon. To harass the Spanish and capture to ship, if possible the English Admiralty dispatched a then little-known Commodore, George Anson. At his command he had, at best, a poorly manned squadron of ships, and ahead of him lay the practically uncharted South Seas.

This is the thrilling and true story of how he prowled the South Pacific until he finally tracked down his prize. In the face of overwhelming odds he sailed the rest of the way around the world and after nearly four years triumphantly returned to England a national hero.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Francis Van Wyck Mason (November 11, 1901 – August 28, 1978) was an American historian and novelist. He had a long and prolific career as a writer spanning 50 years and including 78 published novels, many of which were well-received best sellers.
