This is a Very Good Copy of this Book bound in red cloth with gilt title lettering to the front cover and with further gilt motifs to the front cover with black scroll border design.Illustrated with 26 guarded lithographic plates by Samuel Stanesby that include Hatfield House,Ockwells in berkshire,Wakehurst in Sussex,Bramshill in Hants,Crewe Hall Chesire,Southam in Glos,Westwood in Worcs,Beddington in Surrey,Penshurt in Kent,Franks in Kent,Holland House in London,Sutton Place near Guildford,Haddon Hall in Derbyshire and Boughton Malherbe in Kent.There is a little fading to the cloth front cover to the fore-edge,slight scattered foxing mostly to the verso of the plate guards.Binding remains firm with no hinge weakness,Large quarto measures 28cm by 38 cm [1869] .
