Sobre este artículo
Small thick 8vo, original cloth with gilt illustration on covers and gilt lettering on spine, richly illustrated, 630 pp. Binding worn and chipped at spine, backstrip loose with a couple of small pieces missing, partially disbound, pages 469-630 separated from the rest of text block, hinges weak, some staining in front pages, normal aging. Plates and maps are generally in very good condition, a few have a bit of offset, some tears at folds and margins, slight foxing hear and there, but a really nice complete collection of plates, worthy of rebinding. This volume is particularly rich in illustrations. The contents include three folding maps, six folding plates, and about 20 single page illustrations. Of particular interest is the folding map of the city, two folding illustrations of The Five Points, a folding plan of a floating battery, and a plan of Central Park. . Lawrence p. 23-24.
