Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A Civil War novel --a magnificent romance of the times. The hero, a descendant of the Fraser family that figured in the author's previous Revolutionary War novel "Drums", is a son of a poor farmer of southern North Carolina. The story of his love for the daughter of a great slave-owner and planter runs its course throughout the war. Scarce book, particularly in jacket..
