Sobre este artículo

Margaret Sanger. "Family Limitation". , 1918. 16 pages. 6.5 x 5 in. A groundbreaking pamphlet on sexual education and family planning, published at a time when it was illegal to distribute information on birth control. Near fine condition with original paper covers. Revised Eighth Edition., but still very rare as these were mostly disregarded.
"Family Limitation" includes practical advice for women on birth control; distributing this kind of information was banned under the Comstock Laws in the U.S. Because of this, Sanger fled to the U.K. in 1914 to avoid persecution under the law and her husband, William Sanger was arrested in 1915 for distributing the pamphlet. The work includes illustrations of how to use birth control implements available at the time. It asserts that "every woman who is desirous of preventing conception...must learn to know their own bodies". The pamphlet was tremendously influential, and Sanger updated it with new editions quickly as new methods of birth control became available.
