Hardcover Book in Very Good Condition. No dust jacket. Frontispiece in Sepia halftones by Orrin White. Orange cloth binding with black titles in title panel on front, quite clean with slight darkening to spine and along edges. Solid sewn binding with square corners. Pages also quite clean, no marks, no tears, no creases. A classic romance legend of the 16th century , a story of a romance between a passenger on Sir Francis Drake's ship when he visited the outer islands and an Indian chief's daughter. The second part of the story is a modern day romance of the 1920s with reference to the earlier romance. 106 pages. (interesting pagination.
