Hartford & Chicago: The American Publishing Company, 1875. An early collection of Twain's shorter pieces "Now First Published in Complete Form." This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the First Edition. (Second State). Blue decorative cloth binding, stamped with black and gilt. Clean text; 320 pages. Numerous black-and-white illustrations by F.W. Williams. Rubbing to the corners and margins of the spine. The rear cover has some bubbling and one corner is rubbed through. Still, a very attractive volume; the colours are bright and it is a gold-mine of great writing.. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by F.W. Williams. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
