This is a good+ hardcover. First Edition. 1902. The book looks grey in the picture but is actually a nice powder blue colour. No fading to the covers or spine.There are black and white photos and diagrams throughout. Some foxing to the endpapers but the text is clean and the binding is solid. A complete overview of Nova Scotia (Markland) over 100 years ago. The forty-one chapters include: History; Geology; County Histories; Mines; Indians; Tourism; Fisheries; Apple Culture; Agriculture; Institutions of Learning; Timber and Lumber Resources; Paper Pulp Resources; Quarries; Game Law; Manufacturing Concerns; Institutions for the Blind and the Deaf and Dumb; Governance; The Common School System; History of Pictou County, Birds of Nova Scotia; and much more.
