Sobre este artículo

Philadelphia, PA: P.W. Ziegler Company, 1910. First Edition. Hardcover. Sales copy: Very Good; Full Publication: Good Plus. Two publications, 9.5 in. x 7 in., one being the salesman's sample (inaccurately paginated) of the other (pp. 390). Profusely illustrated. The salesman's sample offers the first two pages of most of the forty chapters, of the finished publication, plus a sample of photos and drawings. Matching covers with ochre cloth boards stamped in black title, gilt titles, and black and red designs with oval photo of the distiguished Roosevelt pasted to the fronts. Salesman's sample has black and red design and title of Roosevelt stamped to back; full publication has same design to its spine. Both covers read: "The Marvelous Career of Theodore Roosevelt and the Story of His African Trip".

Salesman's sample has an additional pink page with an "Important Notice" regarding the addition of five extra chapters, which are indeed included in the full publication, and a "Publisher's Guarantee". The cloth binding full edition is advertised for $1.50. Saleman's sample also has eight concluding pages to be used as an order form.

Salesman's sample has light rubbing to edges with lightly nudged corners and top/bottom of spine, and with sunning to edges of rear cover; light bubbling to back cover. Full publication has rubbing to extremities with two nudged corners, one of which is showing, and light soiling to boards. Both interiors are unmarked, with light age-toning to pages.
