Sobre este artículo
London: Collins, 1956. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by Hammond Innes to his wife, fellow author and actress, Dorothy Mary Lange. Inscribed by the author in the year of publication on the dedication page: “My dear, Here at last is your own book with my grateful acknowledgment to your ownership of it and my love, Ralph. 9th July 1956.” With Hammond Innes’s bookplate. Near fine copy with a trace of fading to the cloth along the top edge and very minor rubbing to the gilt-stamping at the spine in a near fine dust jacket with some very faint spotting and a hint of darkening to the spine. The author’s most famous work and the basis of the acclaimed film, The Wreck of the Mary Deare, screenplay by Eric Ambler, directed by Michael Anderson, and starring Gary Cooper, Charlton Heston, Michael Redgrave, Richard Harris, Virginia McKenna, Emlyn Williams, and Alexander Knox.
