Type: Hardback Autography Edition Published by McClure's Magazine and Metropolitan Magazine. Hardcover Book in Very Good Condition, without Jacket, in pale red cloth, very clean, gilt titles on spine bright and sharp, faint wear to some extremities, back-strap is loosened from the crash but sewn binding is tight and intact. Pages are evenly toned, quite clean, no underlining, no highlighting, no marks or creases. Morgan Robertson, 1861-1915, was an American author. His writing sea stories seemed a natural as his father was a sea captain on the Great Lakes and Morgan went to sea as a boy and then into the merchant marines. Later he began to write sea stories and having them published in popular magazines of his day, such as McClures and Saturday Evening post.
