Eight adventures of Sherlock Holmes, abridged in order to make the mysteries more accessible and attractive to young people. Previous owner's bookplate to title page. Color illustrations by author to cover, and throughout. This appears to be the earlier "home-made" version of Mr. Shaw's series, which was picked up by a publisher several years after this was issued.
