Sobre este artículo

Cambridge: Cambridge at the University Press, 1911. Cloth. Near Fine. 10.5" by 7". None. A very smart second edition of Jeans' mathematical theory of electricity and magnetism. Second edition. Scarce work. With figures and mathematical formulae throughout. A detailed study on the divisions of electromagnetism, with chapters on electrostatics and current electricity, magnetism, systems and conductors, and much more. Written by Sir James Hopwood Jeans, an English physicist, astronomer, and mathematician. This book was awarded to Arthur Taylor from the Grammar School in Macclesfield, with an inserted biography from the previous owner. Taylor was a second lieutenant in the Cheshire Regiment during the First World War. Unfortunately, the last his family heard from the Red Cross was that he was wounded in Germany and had been taken as a prisoner of war. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers. School prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Near Fine
