It was the more scientific counterpart of Wolff's famous "Anfangsgründe aller mathematischen Wissenschaften". Christian Johann von Wolff (1679-1754) from Breslau, a leading figure of the German enlightenment, was Professor of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Halle University. Distinguished copy with the arms of Empress Maria Theresa (1717-1780), Archduchess of Austria, daughter of Emperor Charles VI, wife of Emperor Francis I Stephen, mother of Marie Antoinette, Queen of France. This book was later in the library of Albert of Saxe-Teschen (1728-1823), with printed Albertina shelf-label A 37/ P 3/ No. 39 on inner front cover.
