Sobre este artículo
London: Edward Moxon,, 1855. First edition, early issue with 8 pp. of front advertisements dated August 1855 (shortly after publication on 28 July), this an attractive copy in the original cloth. As well as "Maud" (Tennyson's "little Hamlet") and "Ode on the Death of the Duke of Wellington", this collection notably includes the first published trade appearance of "The Charge of the Light Brigade", which first appeared in The Examiner the previous year, and was printed privately as a separately issued work for soldiers fighting in the Crimea. Octavo. Original green cloth, spine lettered in gilt and ruled in blind, covers with blind-stamped frames, yellow-coated endpapers, edges untrimmed. Partially erased ownership inscription to front pastedown. Spine slightly faded, a couple of marks to covers, extremities bumped and lightly worn, inner hinges cracked but firm, light scattered foxing to contents. A very good copy.
