Bound handsomely in a light black cloth, embossed title to cover, silver lettering to spine. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing only very minor wear, protected by a plastic coat, dust jacket not being price-clipped. This comprises the first English language catalogue raisonne devoted to Beckmann since the centenary retrospective in 1984. This homage to the life and work of Max Beckmann is edited by Sean Rainbird, has 293 pp. and 174 color illustrations, another 40 in black-and-white. A dozen essays by noted critics and historians including by Robert Storr, Susanne Bieber, Nina Peter, William Kentridge, and Ellsworth Kelly.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
