The tales are diverse in their setting, characters, era and genre. The stories include the titular 'May We Borrow your Husband?', 'Beauty', 'Chagrin in three Parts', 'The Over-night Bag', 'Mortmain', 'Cheap in August', 'A Shocking Accident', 'The Invisible Japanese Gentlemen', 'Awful When you Think of It', 'Dr Crombie', 'The Root of All Evil' and 'Two Gentle People'. Graham Greene was a leading 20th century novelist. He was shortlisted for the Nobel Prize for Literature twice and wrote over 25 novels total. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Sinopsis
Graham Greene (1904-1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the Foreign Office. His many books include The Power and the Glory , The Third Man , Our Man in Havana , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.
