UsedGood. Likely first edition - 1900 copyright date matches title page. Green cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Upper page edges also gilded. Some spotting to cover, mild scuffing and shelfwear with age. Gilt titles on spine remain bright. Spine cracked from use, but all pages intact, including glassine paper over frontis. Mild yellowing to crisp page edges. Text clean, no underlining. Good copy overall.

He was later known as the "Father of Oregon" for his role in assisting the American cause in the Oregon Country.
