Includes Measures of Time, with sections on the Gregorian, Hebrew and Mahometan Calendars. Countries (or other political entities then maintaining their own weights and measures systems and coinage) covered include Greece, Madras, Parma, Prussia, Roman States, Sardinia, and many others. Each section includes brief coverage of by-then obsolete units. Publisher's embossed green cloth-covered boards, remnants of paper label to spine, gilt titles to front board, publisher's advertisement to front and rear end papers, 206 pages followed by 16 pages of publisher's catalogue ("Weale's Series Rudimentary Scientific, Educational, and Classical") , then 32 pp of Crosby Lockwood's main catalogue. Condition notes: Boards faded, knocked and rubbed; binding pulled, especially at front end papers. Occasional pencil emphasis and notes here and there. Ink mark across fore edges. Light foxing here and there.
