Jablonski was intensely interested in Egyptian archaeology and produced this work on the Colossus of Memnon -- the famous pair of statues of Amenhotep III in Thebes - the Colossi of Memnon -- the northernmost of which is reported to cry out at dawn. In Latin with some Greek and the occasional Hebrew and Coptic. A good copy of a fairly scarce first edition with nice provenance. ; Engravings; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 122 pages .
