Minor creasing to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, some yellowing to the pages, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The author's account of his time serving (as a cook) with a British Red Cross unit in Montenegro during the First Balkan War of 1912-13. Written shortly after his return to the UK, the book was only published in 1960, a few years after his death. 170pp, 19 b&w illustrations.. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover.
