One letter of text on a dedication page is marred off and there is minor staining, but the text is otherwise remarkably clean and bright. Original full leather binding is quite weakened at the hinges, with moderate rubbing to extremities, but remains intact and attractive. Attributed to Defoe by Moore and Novak. Moore 500. Engraved bookplate on front paste down endpaper. Title continues "...Containing an account of the conduct of the Earl of Peterborough, and other general officers, admirals, &c. and several remarkable transactions both by Sea and Land.
