Very Good, bound in contemporary half calf over marbled boards, lettering at spine faded away, five raised bands, plain brown end papers, marbled boards rubbed. xii, 416 pp. Born Feb. 13, 1457, died Mar.27, 1482 from injuries sustained from falling off a horse, Mary of Burgundy was daughter and heiress of Charles the Bold, duke of Burgundy; her crucial marriage to the archduke Maximilian (later Maximilian I), son of the Habsburg emperor Ferdinand III, resulted in Habsburg control of the Netherlands. Mary ruled Burgundy from 1477 -1482. . First Edition. Half Calf. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
