J Kershaw, 1823. Book. Good. hardback. hardback, octavo, black half-calf with gilt title on red morocco to spine, textured green boards, marbled edges. Binding remains sound, but with a pronounced dark stain to the head of the text and running throughout the volume - possibly water or flame related, the text however remains perfectly legible. Closed tear to page 175. Facsimiles of the Wesleys, frontis, b&w plate, xv + [ii] 543pp.
