Sobre este artículo
Hardcover. Very Good. Sampson Low, Marston & Company, London, 1893, first edition; 8vo, 135 x 195mm; pp ix, 276; green ribbed cloth, spine titled gilt, front cover decorated with with an image of the Panthéon; top edge gilt, others untrimmed; gravure frontispiece, again of the Panthéon, and with over 60 line drawings in the text made specifically for the book by a range of Paris artists; slight rubbing at the extremities of the cover but otherwise in very good condition throughout and with most of the pages remaining uncut. ... ... ... The work is an ambulatory guide to some 375 distinctive Paris houses and follows the modestly self-described Autolycus's earlier and successful similar work on London houses. Planned to be published in French the translation was apparently delayed and the book instead appeared in English for the interest and edification of relevant tourists. There are indexes to streets and to residents.
