Hedley Shafto Johnstone Vicars (7 December 1826 â 22 March 1855) was a British Army officer and evangelical who was killed in action during the Crimean War. <br><br>Hardbound brown publishers cloth, tight binding, covers soiled and rubbed with small tears to head and tail of spine. Corners bumped. Portrait frontispiece of Captain Vicars with tissue. Previous owner's name written on paste down, significant foxing throughout, yet does not affect readability. 300 pp. and Appendix followed by twelve pages of books published by Robert Carter & Brothers. Very Good condition. Full refund if not satisfied.
