Sobre este artículo

Hartford, Conn.: Hartford Publishing Co., 1868. 1868. FIRST EDITION HARDCOVER, GREEN BINDING WITH GILT DESIGNS AND IN-BLIND FRAME-LIKE DESIGNS. Deep brown endpapers. Illustrated with 18 steel portraits, including frontispiece with tissue overlays, 575 pages and three pages of publisher's advertising at end. THIS IS NOT A RECENT REPRINT, FACSIMILE, OR A BOOK ON DEMAND. THIS IS THE 1868 FIRST EDITION. Condition of binding: Light age wear, soiling/stains, shelf wear, light bumps. Internally: Scattered offsets from portraits, occasional foxing, light bug infestation. Overall book is Good Plus. Book free of the smell of a cigarette or cigar smoker. The book appears to be in better condition than expected because of the way former owner(s) preserved the book. This antiquarian book, over 154 years old, features biographical sketches and anecdotes of statesmen, generals, and orators, such as Lincoln, Grant, Chase, Greeley, Douglass, Phillips, and Beecher. It was researched and written by Harriet Beecher Stowe, the author of Uncle Tom's Cabin. A wonderful, insightful volume. Collectible. Sobre R. Siedlecki Vintage Books

We are a well-established, well-respected dealer that is professional, honest, and ethical in our business dealings. We tend to describe each book in a reserved, conservative manner, rather than oversell a book or sidestep the responsibility of addressing its flaws. Book club editions and library books along with books without dustjackets (if they came with dustjackets) are pointed out in our descriptions. We describe our books in detail, pointing out the precise condition of each book based on our opinion. It's your assurance that the book we describe is as close as possible to the book you’ll receive. In business since 1991, we typically have five-star ratings on major web sites.
