Boston: Oliver Ditson. No date, but circa 1880. A book of popular music for the pianoforte by German Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn (1809-47.) 128 pp.of music. Folio, 12.5 by 9.75 inches.Half leather (spine and corners) and patterned paper boards. Attractive red leather cover label with two reclining women in a floral border. Good with general wear and rubbing. Leather cracked along the outer joints,but covers still firmly attached. Inner hinges sound. Endpapers creased and wrinkled. Text pages show intermittent foxing and early owner's light pencil notations (evidently song titles.)
