Sobre este artículo
The Mentor Association, 1913. First Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good-/None Issued. Engravings and Artwork. Bound in black pebbled cloth backed with black leather; spine titles and decorations stamped in gilt. The first twenty-four issues of this periodical, bound by the publisher. Although the issues are either undated or dated only 1913, we have determined that the first issue was dated February 7, 1913. Each issue is paginated individually. The paper is thick and creamy, with a slight sepia tint (Laid that way, not toned by age). Each issue is dedicated to a particular form of art, from children's paintings to architecture to the painting of birds. Issue number 16, "American Birds of Beauty", is illustrated with six color plates Edward Howe Forbush, who also wrote the text for the article. Each of the 24 issues is fully illustrated with photographs or facsimile artwork. This copy shows mild edgewear with some chipping at the head and heel of the spine, which also has a crack in the leather in the center of the spine. Former owner's name to the front pastedown, otherwise unmarked. Hinges solid; binding square. A clean, tight copy. Uncommon, especially in this condition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
