Sobre este artículo
London: Heinemann, 1985. First edition. Cloth. Fine/Near Fine. 8.5" by 5.5". None . A lovely advance copy of the first edition of this short story anthology by acclaimed author Patricia Highsmith, complete in the unclipped dust wrapper. An anthology of short stories by American writer Patricia Highsmith, dealing with murder, violence, insanity, and secrets: themes which characterise her writing and contribute to her fame as a foremost author of psychological thrillers. The stories in this collection expose American middle-class society's corruption, as well as commenting on other countries middle and upper classes. The first edition, first impression of this work. Complete with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. An advance copy with publisher's review request plate and publication information loosely inserted. Some of Patricia Highsmith's most popular novels include The Talented Mr. Ripley and Strangers on a Train, its best adaptation being the Alfred Hitchcock film of 1951. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only, a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are clean with only a touch of age toning, as usual due to the type of paper used. Fine
