Schwarze Original-Halblederbände mit rotem Rückenschild und reicher Goldprägung, deren florales Liniendekor noch dem Jugendstil entlehnt ist. Deckel in olivgrüner Leinenbespannung und mit schwarzen Lederecken. Erste Großlexikon-Ausgabe während der Weimarer Republik, die ursprünglich bereits für 1921 geplant war. Sehr informative Ausgabe, die in der Anzahl der Artikel ihre Vorgänger übertrifft.Das Grundwerk umfasst 12 Bände mit 21.000 Spalten (Spaltenzählung). Der Entwurf für den Bucheinband der Halbleder-Ausgabe stammte von dem berühmten Prager Illustrator und Buchkünstler Hugo Steiner.
