Fat quarto, first edition, pp. xlv, 208, green cloth boards with gilt lettering and floral decoration to spine and front, 11 mezzotint plates (of 12 that are called for). Arntzen & Rainwater, N22: "Contains a technical description of the process and an historical survey, still not superseded." Condition of this book: Covers discolored with slight wear at corners; front endpaper is loose. Overall very good, clean. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
