Red cloth with gilt lettering on spine and front cover; the front also has the authors name in black text and an image of dogs. The boards are somewhat bumped and worn at corners and ends of spine; they are also rubbed with a small stain on back and some mild bubbling. Inscription from the previous owner (1917) on front free endpaper. Colour frontis. Clean tight text block with only a couple of mild stains. Long outer edge of text block roughly trimmed.
