A limited edition work, limited to one-hundred and seventy-five copies printed on Hahnemuhle mould-made paper by Skelton's Press, and bound by Woolnough Bookbinding, of which eighty-five copies quarter-bound, and ninety copies bound in paper covers. This copy is numbered one-hundred and forty, and is bound in paper covers. Signed by the author and illustrator to the edition page. A charming poem by John Wain, a long poem that takes the reader on a train journey from Oxford to Stoke-on-Trent. John Wain was an English poet, associated with 'The Movement' literary group. Illustrated throughout by Arthur Keene. Publication slip loosely inserted. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, fine. Only a very small amount of edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
