NY: Alfred A. Knopf. NF. 1969. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Stated first edition bound in light brown cloth with gold lettering. A Near Fine copy in a VG+ dust jacket. The book has a couple of faint, tiny dust spots to the upper edge of the front board. Former owner's n ame is inked on the front fly leaf. The dust jacket has two tiny close d tears to the front panel's upper edge and three small pieces of clea r tape used on its verso as reinforcement. .
Sinopsis
John Updike was born in 1932 in Shillington, Pennsylvania; he attended Harvard College and the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Arts in Oxford, England. From 1955 to 1957 he was a staff member of The New Yorker , to which he has contributed stories, essays, and poems. He is the author of five novels and lives with his wife and four children in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
