This book is about a fantasy world "with no name, a brutally hot planet circling close to its sun, somewhere in an obscure star system." Life is not supported, it "explodes." These descriptors are from the front flap. The planet is inhabited by Born and his clan, but one day strangers land and they find that they must protect against this new alien threat and their flying machines. Has been compared to "Avatar."
