This booklet contains two narratives, that of the prolific Colonel Jones on Josiah Tattnall and General Forrest at Brice's Crossroads amongst other bits and pieces.
This account is supplemented by a poem written by Colonel Joseph Cumming titled "Chickamauga." Cumming started his service as a private in the 5th Georgia, CSA, and progressed through the rank as a staff officer for notable Southern generals. He was slightly wounded at Shiloh and was a participant at Chickamauga, Atlanta, and Nashville/Franklin.
