With illustrated frontispiece and pre title page. All text block edges gilt. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. Prize plate to front endpaper. Occasional rub marks and stains to margins. Boards have some edge wear, with moderate bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are slightly crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. A few small paint spots to rear. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. Gilt is bright.
