Minneapolis: Veckobladets Tryckeri, 1924 WYSIWYG pricing--no added shipping charge for standard shipping within USA. Memorial publication of the Swedish Mission Covenant's Svenska Tabernaklet (now First Covenant Church) in Minneapolis on the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary. Black pebble-grained cloth, gilt titles & decoration on front board, 102 pp, b & w photos. Extremities lightly rubbed. Where one might expect a half-title, there is a photo of E. August Skogsbergh, pastor from 1884-1908 and founder of the church's school, Minnehaha Academy. According to Kastrup, Skogsbergh "is regarded as one of the greatest preachers the Swedes in America have produced. Contents consist of the usual history of the congregation followed by brief sketches of the church's activities and their leaders. The text is mostly Swedish, with six pages in English. The building pictured on the cover and inside, at the corner of Chicago (formerly 8th) Ave. & 7th Street, is still occupied by the congregation and has recently been renovated. You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order.
