Sobre este artículo
London: Adam and Charles Black, 1910. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 10" by 7". Not Stated. A very smart first edition of this influential fly fishing book from G. E. M. Skues. A very smart first edition of "Minor Tactics of the Chalk Stream and Kindred Studies" by G. E. M. Skues. Beautifully illustrated with a colour plate frontispiece. George Edward MacKenzie Skues, usually known as G. E. M. Skues (18581949), was a British lawyer, author and fly fisherman. "Minor Tactics of the Chalk Stream and Kindred Studies" was Skues" first book and is said to have effected a "revolution" as it set the stage for the dominance of nymph fishing for trout. Containing two pages of publisher"s advertisements to the rear. In the original publisher"s cloth binding, with gilt title to the front board and spine. Externally, Very smart. Some very minor rubbing to the extremities, particularly the head and tail of the spine. Pastedown and endpapers are lightly age-toned. Internally, generally firmly bound. Some light spotting mainly to end papers. Otherwise pages are bright and clean. Very Good
