This is a Very Good Copy of this book bound in half tan leather over marbled boards with gilt titles to spine.It's a handsome and contemporary binding with new endpapers and with the half title page present.This copy has four plates including the engraved frontispiece,one is coloured and the directions to the binder of where to place the four plates has been adhered to.Page edges remain untrimmed.The beginning preface states that these pages were not intentionally at first written for publication,but originally composed by the desire of some female friends,who live at a remote part of West of England;and who awre of her consumate knowledge of the world and experience in all that is honourable in the art of captivation.The book has 2 pages of ads to the rear and there are NO previous names or inscriptions present.It's a wonderful treatise that contains useful tips and advice on a lady's deportment,dress style and noble manners.The contents internally are a little age toned as to be expected but all pages and very readable and without chips or tears.An excellent copy for the collector,small 8vo [vii] 2 241pp plus 2 pages of ads to rear...
